Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about CalcQuest, the puzzles, and our mission.

Is CalcQuest free to play?

Yes! CalcQuest is completely free to play. We believe in ethical monetization, so there are absolutely no forced ads that interrupt your gameplay. You can optionally watch ads if you'd like to earn extra in-game gems, but it's never required.

How many levels are there?

CalcQuest features over 350 handcrafted levels across multiple worlds. Unlike other math games that auto-generate repetitive drills, every puzzle in CalcQuest is meticulously designed to give you that satisfying 'aha!' moment.

Is there an age limit for the game?

Not at all! While CalcQuest is particularly great for students ages 11+, the puzzles scale in difficulty and can challenge adults just as much. If you enjoy brain teasers, Sudoku, or puzzle games like Monument Valley, you'll love this.

Can I create my own puzzles?

Yes! A unique feature of CalcQuest is the ability to create your own custom puzzles. You can generate QR codes or text codes for your creations and share them with friends. They don't even need an account to scan and play your puzzle.

Do I need an internet connection to play?

You can play the core adventure mode offline. However, certain features like sharing or scanning custom QR code puzzles, or backing up your progress to the cloud, do require an active internet connection.

I'm a teacher. Can I use this in my classroom?

Absolutely! Many educators use CalcQuest to engage students who might otherwise find math drills boring. If you are interested in a more structured curriculum integration, check out our 'Education' page or join our Pilot Program!
